When we started looking for a venue to host Twestival Honolulu 2011, "The Venue" (1144 Bethel St.) was a natural choice. Located in the arts hub of Downtown Honolulu, "The Venue" is already known as a First Friday hotspot -- a stylish yet open space, a great bar, and a fantastic location for live music... always an important part of Twestival Honolulu.
Now we have a where and when, and all we need is who. That's you!
Remember, this year, every Twestival around the world is local. Twestival Honolulu 2011 is pleased to support the Blood Bank of Hawaii! To see what BBH hopes to accomplish with your help, click here!
Get your tickets now, and remember, 100 percent of ticket sales go to charity! Ticket sales are the main way Twestival raises funds. (Of course, you could always just pay at the door, but admission will be $25 instead of $20.) And if you can't join us, you can be there in spirit, and still help raise money for BBH. You can donate online today!
We've already got a great musical lineup planned, so stay tuned for announcements next week. We also can't wait to tell you about the food, drink, and of course, cool giveaways and prizes that always make Twestival Honolulu a great way to have a good time with good people, all for a good cause.
Located just down the street from Hawaii Theater, near Hawaii Pacific University, there's a private lot in the same "Mark's Garage" building. Also, "The Venue" sits between two conveniently located, affordable municipal parking lots:
- Chinatown Gateway - Entrance on Bethel St., on the left across from Macy's, just after Island Insurance at 1022 Bethel St. [Map]
- Smith Beretania - Entrance off Beretania St., on the left just after Nuuanu Ave., down a ramp behind New Life Chapel. [Map]
Now in its third year, Twestival Honolulu remains among the best examples of how the Aloha State is a natural community for harnessing the power of Twitter and social media to do good... and have fun. Please join us!
